When you hear the term "remand" and "remanded" in criminal law it either means that a defendant is placed in custody (For example "defendant remanded to custody of the Rogers County Sheriff") or a case has been returned by an appellate court to a lower court for further hearings consistent with the appellatte court's decision. (For example "case is reversed and remanded with instructions to dismiss")
