Lincoln County Courthouse Overview

Lincoln County is located in central Oklahoma located between Tulsa and Oklhaoma City. Chandler is the county seat of Lincoln County. Oklahoma's turner turnpike runs through Lincoln County so it is not unusual for out of state defendants to be stopped and arrested on a traffic stop conducted at or near the Turner Turnpike Toll Gate. Lincoln County is part of the 23rd Judicial District which also includes Pottawatomie County that has a county seat in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Lincoln County Courthouse

The Lincoln County Courthouse is located at 811 Manvel Ave, Chandler, OK 74834. The courthouse is a single story courthouse, the Lincoln County District Attorney's Office is located in the Lincoln County courthouse. The courtrooms are on the north side of the building. Parking is rarely a problem and on most days the courthouse is fairly empty. The Lincoln County jail is located behind the Lincoln County Courthouse.

In Lincoln County the preliminary hearings are typically handled on Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm.

Jury Trials

Like many of the counties in Oklahoma, Lincoln County does not have jury trials year around. Several times a year Lincoln County will have a "jury term". Typically during the "jury term" most of the other court business is not conducted. Jury trials are typically held for a two to three weeks period during the jury term.
